Mr. Mercedes (2017)

A demented serial killer taunts a retired police detective with a series of lurid letters and emails, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he can strike again.

Stephen King's Cameo: The master of horror himself, Stephen King, makes a cameo in season 1, episode 6, as a murdered chef in a diner, during a dream sequence of Brady Hartsfield's. This is one of King's more gruesome cameos, setting it apart from his usual appearances.
Dark Tower Connections: The show includes subtle nods to King's Dark Tower series. For example, Bill Hodges' screen name includes the number "19", a significant number in the Dark Tower universe. Some fans also interpret the core group of characters (Bill, Holly, Jerome, and Janey) as a "ka-tet," a concept from the Dark Tower.
