Shadow of the Sarcophagus (1989)

The film is about the consequences of the Chornobyl accident and the concealment of data on the true extent of the damage by the leaders of the medical system of the USSR and the Ukrainian SSR. Interviews are conducted with P. Ramzaev, MD, M. Karpan, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, and V. Kavun, First Secretary of the Zhytomyr Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine. The program shows the examination of patients in the radiation pathology department of Kyiv Hospital No. 25 and the examination of cattle by radiobiologists in the Narodytsky district of Zhytomyr region.
