Alive Yet (1992)
Five years after the Chornobyl tragedy, the “Ukrkinokhronika” studio crew visits institutions within 30 kilometres of the Chornobyl station. They interview researchers about radiation effects, showing photos of anomalous plants and birth defects. The film combines interviews with aerial footage of abandoned areas, highlighting the church as a place where life persists. Shot in 1991, it reflects the era’s patriotic and separatist sentiments, underscoring the lingering impact of the past.

Shadow of the Sarcophagus (1989)
The film is about the consequences of the Chornobyl accident and the concealment of data on the true extent of the damage by the leaders of the medical system of the USSR and the Ukrainian SSR. Interviews are conducted with P. Ramzaev, MD, M. Karpan, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, and V. Kavun, First Secretary of the Zhytomyr Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine. The program shows the examination of patients in the radiation pathology department of Kyiv Hospital No. 25 and the examination of cattle by radiobiologists in the Narodytsky district of Zhytomyr region. Scientific conference "Medical aspects of the Chornobyl accident" in Kyiv. Minister of Health of the USSR E.I. Chazov makes a speech.

Right to Truth (1989)
Kyiv, 1989. A demonstration dedicated to the anniversary of the Chornobyl tragedy is happening at the “Dynamo” stadium – all the seats are filled, the words “Chornobyl, Prypiat, a warning” are visible on the scoreboard. People took to the streets in search of truth because years after the tragedy, there was still no comprehension or public awareness of the real dangers of radiation, and a general feeling that no one from the government had been punished for the accident or for carrying on with the 1st of May demonstration held in Kyiv in the first days of the tragedy.

At the time of its creation, this documentary had a great public resonance, as the director was one of the first to bring to the public the true information about the ecological consequences of the Chornobyl disaster and uncompromisingly publicize problematic issues.
