Pawut is the successor to a large company. Wanida is a secretary in a law firm. They both go on the same cruise, with Pawut planning to propose to Kaekai, his girlfriend, and Wanida planning on losing her virginity to her boyfriend. However, Wanida ended up taking cold medicine which made her drowsy and accidentally went to Pawut's hotel room, while he was drugged. They spent the night together. Three months later, Wanida finds out that she is pregnant.

In 1992, Phet, a young singer in a pub, dreams of being famous with his supportive girlfriend Preapim. But Pim's father didn't like Phet, so he planned Pim's engagement with Pisanu. Pim and Phet then fled to live together in Hua Hin. One day, both of them went to visit the temple fair where they argue and get separated. Phet meets a fortuneteller who takes him 20 years into the future. There, he sees the much older Pim with her daughter and husband Phitsanu. Going to his old house, Phet learns that he died on the night of the temple fair with Pim. He then decides to stay in the future to investigate the cause of his own death, in order to go back and fix the past events and not let himself die.

The story was set during World War II when the Japanese Empire sent troops to Siam (Thailand) as part of their greater plan. Kobori, an idealistic Japanese officer set up a base camp by the Chaophraya River which is in the area of Angsumalin‘s house. He falls for her at first sight. Angsumalin, a proud Thai who despises every kind of threat to her country, sees him as a part of the Japanese Empire that deserves only hatreds. Despite his duty, Kobori wants to believe that his love will be able to find its way into her heart.

Tor's stepmother, who is the first wife also has a son, named Sawit, or Ae, as people call him. Tor and his mother are treated very harshly by his stepmother and brother. Eventually, his mother dies of pain from abuse while he is still a kid. After his mother's death, he befriends a girl next door named Mintha, who is also a stepchild. Tor and Min have many things in common and it brings them close together. One day, Ae and Mintha's half sister, Kwan bullies Tor to the point he fights them back.
