S1E1 - January
New Year, 1906. Edith tries to patch up old squabbles at the Holden family reunion. Remembering happier childhood days when Emma, her mother, taught the family to draw and delight in nature, she makes an important resolution.

S1E2 - February
Edith looks after ailing Rosie Logan and when she is better, takes her outdoors and shows her how to draw. Edith remembers her own art school days with her sister Evelyn who gave up a promising career for Frank Mathews.

Edith's trouble between members of her family continues to grow. In flashbacks we see where some of the trouble first began. Edith's sister and family are also working on putting on a show to benefit the children of Frank's Cinderella Club.

S1E4 - April
Edith takes a holiday from her teaching to travel to Scotland, in order to visit some old friends. The flashbacks show the first time Edith met these friends, when she attended art school there in her youth. She gets some new about her friend Belle, and advice from a woman on a train, which make her think about where her life may be heading.

S1E5 - May
Edith experiences further troubles at home because her two brothers cannot seem to come to an agreement over how to run the family business. She wishes her mother was still alive to give her advice. In flashbacks we see when Edith's mother was first starting to become ill.

S1E6 - June
Edith is growing increasingly restless at home and disagrees with her father about the new cities going up where country land used to be. She has some of her art work featured at an exibit and meets Ernest Smith, the two become fast friends, and he lifts her spirits up.

S1E7 - July
Edith begins a campaign for to stop animal cruelty and the use of metal traps. She rescues a dog from one of the traps and nurses it to health. Edith is also planning on going on another holiday, which, unfortunately, will cause her to miss a visit from her new friend Ernest.

S1E8 - August
Edith and Ernest begin to spend more time with each other ans Edith begins to develop feelings for Ernest. However this makes her fell uneasy because Ernest is 7 years younger than she is and Edith thinks she is too old for him.

S1E9 - September
Our story jumps to several years ahead of its previous timeline. It is now 1913, and Edith and Ernest, now married, move to London to set up their home. Now in flashbacks it becomes 1906. Edith discovers her nature notes while unpacking and remembers when she and Ernest first fell in love.

S1E10 - October
It is 1913 and Edith now lives in London with her husband Ernest. They have a small boy staying with them at their home for awhile and this, along with Edith's nature Notes book, cause her to remember the good times at her old home in the country. Not all of Edith's memories are pleasent, as Edith recalls when her father gave up her family home.

S1E11 - November
Edith recalls many painful memories from her past, including the loss of two people very close to her. Her husband Ernest goes off to war and the arguement between her two brothers, Bernard and Kenneth, finally comes to its conclusion.

S1E12 - December
This is the final episode of this series. The video takes place in 1920 and the first part of it is contains flashbacks from all of the previous 11 episodes as well as some new ones concerning Edith and her husband. The later part of the episode has Ernest take over the narration for Edith as we take a look at her life's work in nature.
