At Columbia University, two pro-Palestinian groups have been banned for holding unauthorised protests - a move that members say is about shutting down criticism of Israel. As gangs try to take over Haiti, the Caribbean island's healthcare system is in a state of collapse, and a woman and child's chances of surviving a pregnancy are the worst in the Western hemisphere. To give their babies a better chance at life, thousands of Haitian women a month are now giving birth in the Dominican Republic, most of them having crossed the border illegally.
