The Studio (2025)

Desperate for celebrity approval, the newly appointed head of a movie studio and his executive team at Continental Studios must juggle corporate demands with creative ambitions as they try to keep movies alive and relevant.

Inspired by Real Experiences: 'The Studio' is disturbingly based on Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's real experiences in the film industry over 25 years of writing and producing. Rogen stated that the show comes from his own fears and neuroses about his role in the industry.
Almost Entirely One-Take: Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg ambitiously decided to shoot most of the show as "oners," with each scene being one continuous take. Episode two, "The Oner," is a technical marvel executed as one uninterrupted 25-minute shot.
A-List Cameos Galore: The show features a staggering number of A-list cameos, with over 50 names appearing throughout the series to make the on-screen version of Hollywood feel convincing. Cameos include Martin Scorsese, Olivia Wilde, Quinta Brunson, and many more.
Costume Design Reflects Character Arcs: Costume designer Kameron Lennox used detailed costume design to reflect character evolution, industry archetypes, and Hollywood nostalgia. For example, Maya's (Kathryn Hahn) wardrobe becomes bolder after she gets a film greenlit.
Frank Lloyd Wright Inspiration: Production designer Julie Berghoff blended Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, Art Deco elegance, and deep film history to create the fictional Hollywood studio. Almost all of the furniture in the executive office was custom-built with Frank Lloyd Wright inspiration.
