Ros na Rún (1996)

True to rural Gaeltacht life, storylines take its much-loved characters on individual journeys which encapsulate the challenges of life from relationships, family, friends, careers to sex, affairs, abuse, incest, coercive control, gender, alcoholism, drug abuse and the grind of life. There are complicated characters with multiple issues in their lives, which Ros na Rún cleverly explores and develops while blending laugher with the seriousness of life. Season 28 includes criminal Garda activity, wrongful crime convictions, death, gender, drugs and social issues alongside love, romance and hearty village fun.
