S1E1 - Birth of a Continent
The first part of our journey to Europe’s extremes takes us to its borders where geographical and natural wonders await! We start at the oldest cliffs of the palaeocontinent Baltica in the Extreme North of Russia atop an ancient mountain now covered in water. From the Urals in the east to the forgotten Tabernas Desert in the west, volcanic landscapes with plants from every climate zone, dolphins and whales will amaze. Then, see how Iceland rose from the sea to become the “newest” part of Europe.

S1E2 - Transformation of a Continent
Our second journey to the extremes takes us to the heart of the European continent, from the Norwegian fjords to the coast of Jura in the English Channel and up to the peak of the Matterhorn; we will go from the volcanoes of the Massif Central in southern France to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, or the “Grand Canyon of Europe”. Viewers will also find out how the Alps, Europe’s largest mountain range, as well as the magical ecological world of the Danube Delta – and even more wonders – developed.
