1927 Moscow. A young operative of OGPU, a village boy, Nikolai Vlasik, enters the service as Stalin's personal guard. Vlasik is inexperienced but devoted. He takes care of Stalin's safety and his personal life. As time goes by, Vlasik becomes Stalin's chief of security.
