The film is a first-ever look into an intense training ground that recruits born-again Christian children to become an active part of America's political future.

Pray Away (2021)
In the 1970s, five men struggling with being gay in their Evangelical church started a bible study to help each other leave the "homosexual lifestyle." They quickly received over 25,000 letters from people asking for help and formalized as Exodus International, the largest and most controversial conversion therapy organization in the world. But leaders struggled with a secret: their own “same-sex attractions” never went away. After years as Christian superstars in the religious right, many of these men and women have come out as LGBTQ, disavowing the very movement they helped start. Focusing on the dramatic journeys of former conversion therapy leaders, current members, and a survivor, PRAY AWAY chronicles the “ex gay" movement’s rise to power, persistent influence, and the profound harm it causes.

The Porn King Versus the President (2004)
In 2000 George Bush Jr was voted into the White House thanks in part to the massive voting power of the evangelical religious right. In order to repay them for their support, Bush appointed John Ashcroft in the role of Director General. With his opinions including anti-abortion in all cases, opposition to laws that protect ethnic minorities etc Ashcroft horrified liberals but cheered the religious right. One of Ashcroft's first targets was pornography and, in 2003, the FBI ordered four copies of porn films from the website of Extreme Associates. When the material crossed state lines it became a federal issue and Rob Black (owner of EA) was served with 9 indictments. With Ashcroft's job pretty much dependant on Bush returning to office in 2004, this documentary looks at Black's case and the increasing involvement of the religious right in American politics.

Thy Kingdom Come ... Thy Will Be Done (1988)
No one would accuse director Anthony Thomas of presenting an unbiased view of religious fundamentalism in this film, which won a Special Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Intent on exposing what he perceives to be a dangerous connection between the religious and political right, Thomas interviews born-again Christians and then directs his lens on Heritage USA, the religious complex established by Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker.

Silhouette City (2008)
This beautifully crafted and thoughtful film deploys rarely seen archival footage, right-wing movement propaganda and original investigative material to probe the origins of apocalyptic Christian nationalism and its most extreme adherents, as they move from the margins to the mainstream. A riveting historical document as well as cautionary commentary on power vacuums, racism and civil society apathy, SILHOUETTE CITY prefigures the so-called “alt right” forces that now rally around Trump as their emboldening metropole. This history is troubling enough to be fiction, but in fact, this is the factual story of one faction of American fascism and its rise to the mainstream.

God Bless America: The Power of Religion in the United States (2019)
There are approximately 60 million evangelicals in the United States. They represent by far the largest religious group and should not be underestimated politically as voters. They take the Bible literally and believe that God created the world in six days, that the world only existed for 6,000 years, and they dismiss scientific knowledge as lies. They fear Muslims and atheists, homosexuality and permissive life. Alcohol, abortion and sex before marriage are taboo. In large parts of the United States, secularism, the separation of church and state, are being removed more and more. The filmmakers of the documentary give a frightening insight into a strange world and show a supposedly modern country, in which large parts of the population have a level of intellectual development as in the Middle Ages and are as reactionary in their worldview as in Islamist theocracies.
