Jason tragically lost his young son when their SUV exploded. Now fighting as a soldier in Iraq, the suicide bombings that occur around him on a daily basis constantly remind him of losing his son. After his father is killed, Djilali is sold by his family to a Lebanese terrorist group. After completing a grueling training process alongside five other boys, Djilali is chosen for a special assignment and sent to Paris to live with carefree Arab boy Karim, who is scheduled to meet the French president at a Christmas party. Djilali's mission is to impersonate Karim and kill the president, but his growing friendship with the happy youth gives him pause.
