Agnes Moorehead is God! (2013)
As in life, it is Miss Moorehead who sermonizes on and on, whilst Miss Stanwyck "watches from the wings." Or Does she?? There is much power in silence and our talkie seeks to show this. These two ladies had a real, or reel, rivalry...not as virulent as the one between Bette and Joan...but quite toxic, just the same. Why did they hate each other SO much?? They were very similar in many ways. Both came from humble backgrounds, rising to the top through sheer force of will. Both were locked in awful marriages to abusive alcoholics...both had foster sons who simply vanished from their lives...you would think that they would have been friends. And yet, they hated each other. Maybe they had actually loved each other...once.

Broadway: The Golden Age, by the Legends Who Were There (2003)
Broadway: The Golden Age is the most important, ambitious and comprehensive film ever made about America's most celebrated indigenous art form. Award-winning filmmaker Rick McKay filmed over 100 of the greatest stars ever to work on Broadway or in Hollywood. He soon learned that great films can be restored, fine literature can be kept in print - but historic Broadway performances of the past are the most endangered. They leave only memories that, while more vivid, are more difficult to preserve. In their own words — and not a moment too soon — Broadway: The Golden Age tells the stories of our theatrical legends, how they came to New York, and how they created this legendary century in American theatre. This is the largest cast of legends ever in one film.

The Fantastic World of Juan Orol (2012)
Mexico’s half-forgotten B-movie master, “involuntary surrealist” Juan Orol (1897–1988), receives a pitch-perfect tribute in this deft, irresistible love letter to a self-made man of showbiz whose career spanned half a century and nearly 60 films. Abetted by an all-pro cast, del Amo’s brilliant interpretation of Orol’s life exudes a droll underdog charm, and almost every frame is an infectious homage to the golden age of cinema, the wiles of memory, and the art of fantasy.

In the Heat of the Cold Years (2022)
In Havana in the nineteen sixties, there were 140 movie theaters. Only a dozen remain today. For ten years, the cinema industry was a pillar of the Cuban Revolution, but the regime’s hardening and the economic recession precipitated its decline. Fifty years later, only a dozen movie theaters are still running in Havana, while a new generation of bold filmmakers struggles for the very existence of Cuban cinema. In the Heat of the Cold Years tells the story of Revolutionary Cuban cinema through the memories of a choral of elder filmmakers, such as Luciano Castillo, the director of the national film archives, as he scrambles for the preservation of this crumbling cultural legacy, and through a group of young Cuban filmmakers struggling to make their first feature film.
