Inspired by the moving book “Só as Mães São Felizes”, by Lucinha Araújo, Cazuza's mother, the film covers a little more than 10 years of the singer’s crazy and brief life – from the beginning of his career in the Circo Voador venue, in 1981, to the huge success and the apotheosis of his shows with the Barão Vermelho band, his solo career, his relations with his parents, friends, lovers and passions, and the courage he had to face his final years, with HIV, until his death, in 1990.

The mob is trying to strongarm local martial arts schools, forcing young Jason Stillwell and his family to move after his father is injured defending their dojo. Monique is a popular singer disguised as Digna to escape from her stepfather and his stepbrother Gilbert, who slowly killed her mother and also wanted to kill her to seize their wealth. Gilbert and his father thought Monique is already dead until he met Monique in a restaurant as a waitress. Due to this, Gilbert hunts Monique to get her killed. While trying to escape Gilbert's men, she accidentally met Carding, a thief in Ermita with his sidekick Libag. Their love story begins while she stays with Carding's slum along with the kids Carding is taking care of. Gilbert and his father were later caught during police operations and Monique recovered her house and wealth. In the end, Monique keeps Carding's kids in her house and confirmed their love for each other.

Royal Rumble (1990) was the third annual Royal Rumble professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by the World Wrestling Federation. It took place on January 21, 1990 at the Orlando Arena in Orlando, Florida. The main event was the 1990 Royal Rumble match won by WWF Champion Hulk Hogan. Hogan last eliminated Mr. Perfect to win the match. Featured matches on the undercard were Jim Duggan versus The Big Boss Man, Ronnie Garvin versus Greg Valentine in an "I Quit" match and The Bushwhackers (Butch and Luke) versus The Fabulous Rougeaus (Jacques and Raymond).
