In a dystopian 2021, Johnny is a data trafficker who has an implant that allows him to securely store data too sensitive for regular computer networks. On one delivery run, he accepts a package that not only exceeds the implant's safety limits—and will kill him if the data is not removed in time—but also contains information far more important and valuable than he had ever imagined. On a race against time, he must avoid the assassins sent to kill him and remove the data before it, too, ends his life.

(Astro) Turf Wars (2010)
In Summer 2009, something stirred in America. After Barack Obama and a Democratic congress swept to power promising a new era of hope and change, out of nowhere a citizens protest movement emerged that threatened to derail their agenda. Was this uprising the epitome of grassroots democracy? Or was it, as some said, an example of ‘astroturfing’? That is, the creation of fake grassroots (ie. Astroturf: get it?) groups, designed to put corporate messages in the mouths of seemingly independent citizens.

The Business of Birth Control (2021)
There can be no real gender justice without an unpacking of the power structures surrounding the reproductive health industry complex—and of the choices that the market pushes on women. Abby Epstein’s latest documentary highlights the dark history of eugenics and underfunded research that the birth control pill, often heralded as a feminist turning point in the history of reproductive rights, hides within itself.

Cancer: The Forbidden Cures (2010)
Cancer is the only disease that has been defeated dozens of times without anyone knowing it. In the last 100 years, doctors, scientists, and researchers have developed diverse and effective solutions against cancer only to be thwarted by the political and propaganda power of the drug-dominated medical profession. This is the story of Essiac, Hoxsey, Laetrile, Shark Cartilage, Mistletoe, and Bicarbonate of Soda all put together in a stunning overview that leaves no doubt that inexpensive cures for cancer do exist but are systematically blocked by Big Pharma because they come from nature and cannot be patented. Highly informative.

Blutgeld (2013)
The film is based on a true story about HIV-contaminated blood products in Germany in the 1980s. The brothers Ralf, Stefan and Thomas are hemophiliacs and live in constant fear of injury. When a new type of coagulant comes onto the market, they seem to be able to lead a normal life. It soon becomes apparent that a disproportionate number of hemophiliacs are contracting HIV, but the Federal Health Office remains inactive. Stefan is the first to die, but he is only diagnosed with pneumonia. While Ralf does not want to accept this, his brother Thomas refuses to accept it, as he is afraid of his family being ostracized by society if his HIV disease becomes public. This leads to a bitter argument between the brothers.
