Promised Land (2004)
The film is about a former child star who still can't accept that his one film is likely to be the last he ever starred in. He drives around in a car that's one big ad for himself and occasionally makes the local news with some freak incident. When the film starts he has just burned down his trailer and caused a traffic jam. He then hits the road with a DV cam to capture real life. A friend promised him he could sell such material to an Italian TV station. When he meets a famous singer on the way and gets drawn into her story things get interesting.

Our Hollywood Education (1992)
In this documentary, a variety of directors and actors, many of them well known, give answers to questions the viewer never hears -- answers which, on the face of it, call into question the validity of the whole filmmaking enterprise and the culture which spawned it. The narration asserts that the theme is "art versus enterprise," but critics objected that the film is not sufficiently focused to back up that claim. It does, however, reveal a strong anti-Hollywood bias.

Piazza Grande (2017)
A container for stories, between cinema and reality, memories of the past, dreams, and journeys on an eleven-day trip around the world. Piazza Grande, the undisputed symbolic location for the Locarno Festival. Stories experienced firsthand by those who frequent, inhabit, and experience Piazza Grande during the Festival period. Emotions felt for a moment, as ethereal as cinema itself: this is the flamboyant and mysterious magic that is perpetuated every year in this extraordinary place.
