The whole plot in this crazy comedy movie is a story about a geeky and nerdy guy called Polle, who lives in a little village named Snave, which is far out in the Danish countryside. Even though he has turned 30, he's is still living with his parents, and he's kind of an outsider in the little town. The only sort of "friends" he actually has, are three totally much more insane yokels named Heino, Jøgge and Knasti, who are always spending their time, doing live tough for poor Polle.

One evening, the cable TV connection disappears in an apartment building. The residents are told that they can no longer watch cable TV. This leads to an unprecedented sense of unity among the residents. They decide to form an antenna association, with media expert Per as chairman. As Per gets closer to Kim, he tells her that he is actually an antenna installer. When Per soon finds out that she is a nude model, he is not only thrown out of her life, but she also begins to speak negatively about him. The antenna association reaches a preliminary climax when the building's oldest resident falls from the roof.

The Christian TV channel HKK is short of money, and the chairman of the board gladly accepts a compensation check from the government to resocialize the two girls. Fauli plays himself as the overlooked film director who never gets recognition. He is frustrated to a maniacal degree that everyone seems to win prizes which in his opinion rightfully belongs to him. Thus, he looks up Thomas Vinterberg and trashes him for winning this year's Natsværmerpris (awarded by the Natfilm Festival).
