A Retrovirus, which was conceived as a tool for industrial genetic engineering, has gotten out of control and is spreading rapidly. While it crosses all organisms within our ecological system completely indiscriminately (mixing plant with animal and humans) most plants prove more resistant because of their complex DNA. However, the simple genes of the plants lead humans to become grotesque mutations, in most cases even to death. Within one week, 90% of mankind are either extinct or no longer human. However, a small fraction of the earth?s population remains immune to the virus and must survive in this new and constantly changing ecological system. Tom cellar is one the survivors and on an old military base in the Eifel he has entrenched himself. Further survivors come together and succeed in carving out a life in this new world. But the GMOs - the ?genetically modified organisms? - constantly develop themselves further, and soon the fence of the base offers no more protection.

For the young nun Charlotte, the strict convent life is a liberation from her previous life in the fast lane. When advertising professional Conrad is stranded in the convent on a business trip, Charlotte feels vindicated in her decision to choose life in the convent. But the convent is in the red and has been making losses for too long, which is why the unexpected guest comes at just the right time for Abbess Katharina and Sister Hedi. With his experience and skills, he could make the convent profitable again and save it from being sold. Although Charlotte has another plan to save the convent, she reluctantly agrees to work with Conrad.

Crash Kids - trust no one Mike Camber is a good kid who lives with his uncle in Germany. But things go very bad for him when his buddy Werner offers to take him for a ride in his new car... which is stolen. Werner crashes the car and flees, leaving Mike behind, trapped in the car. Mike is arrested by the police and sent to a juvenile detention center. While imprisoned, Mike meets Miu, a beautiful young woman being held for crimes she won't talk about. Together, they inadvertently discover that the warden is running a drug ring out of the detention center...and now the warden wants them dead because of what they know. Mike and Miu escape, only to learn that the local police, and even Mike's buddy Werner, are involved with drug ring. On the run, with no where to go, Mike turns to the only person he feels he can trust, a mysterious stranger he hardly knows: his father.
