Then, on the Allman's favorite concert venue, the Beacon Theater, on March 26, 2009, they completely played the material of the debut (1969) and subsequent (1970) records, made under pressure from the producer in an undesirable sound for them. On 19 March, 2009 Eric Clapton joined the Allman Brothers Band on stage at The Beacon Theatre in New York City for the first of two historic guest appearances. Other guests that evening were Susan Tedeschi and Danny Louis of Gov't Mule. This year marks the 20th Anniversary of Allman Brothers Band performances at the Beacon and the 40th Anniversary of their founding.

On March 15, 2007, Eric Clapton's world tour stopped at San Diego's iPayOne Center (originally the San Diego Sports Arena and now the Valley View Casino Center). The band lineup for the tour continues to be a firm fan-favorite, with Derek Trucks and Doyle Bramhall II on guitars, Chris Stainton and Tim Carmon on keyboards, Willie Weeks on bass, Steve Jordan on drums and backing vocalists Michelle John and Sharon White During the set, EC's long-time musical inspiration, JJ Cale, sat in for five songs, including three from their Grammy-Award winning album, The Road To Escondido, released in 2006.

On March 10, 2020, hours before the United States came to a complete halt due to the pandemic, "The Brothers" gathered at Madison Square Garden to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Allman Brothers Band, the last show the band played under that name, it was on October 28, 2014 at the Beacon Theater in Manhattan. The concert turned out to be the last public appearance for the musicians on stage for the whole year, this only added mystique to the event that closed the book on half a century of musical tradition. Featuring performances by original ABB drummer Jaimoe, along with Duane Trucks, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, Otil Burbridge and Mark Quinones, as well as guest appearances by original pre-ABB Second Coming keyboardist Reese Wynans and Chuck Leavell, who played with the band from 1972 to 1976.
