After being released from a juvenile detention center at the age of 18 due to family issues, Makoto is met by Natsumi, a school staff member he has never seen before. She asks him to become part of the organizing committee for a troubled Coming-of-Age Ceremony. At first, Makoto refuses, but upon recalling his childhood dream, he agrees; on the condition that he can make a film.
