Murat and Riza are two friends. They plan a robbery but Riza decides to take the whole money and denounces Murat to the police. As Murat is released, he goes to take revenge from Riza who is now a rancher. Murat falls in love with his sister Zeynep and therefore gives up with taking revenge. Riza wants to kill Murat as he finds out he is dating with Zeynep. They fight and Riza gets killed. When Zeynep tells him that she is pregnant and that she will wait for him, Murat has no other choice but surrender.

Mustafa lost his mother and father on the same day. His father abandoned them for a dancer, and his mother committed suicide that day. The little boy was suddenly left all alone. His father was now an unforgivable criminal in his eyes. He would ask his father to account for the pain he had caused him with the gun he left behind as a memento. But there was no need for that. His grandfather tells Mustafa that his father is dead. In reality, his father had committed murder because of the woman he had abandoned his family for and had been sent to prison. Mustafa learns this truth twenty years later. His old anger is reignited. He goes to Istanbul to find his father. But he doesn't even know who he is looking for. The only thing he can cling to in the corrupt world he has fallen into is love.

Tunç, who is a director, is looking for a location in a small town for his new film. He observes everything around him for his screenplay. However, he constantly changes what he writes because he doesn't like it. He tries to turn some of the events he sees into stories. But he can't seem to get it right. One night, Tunç visits his neighbor Seniha, an old actress. Some of the things Seniha says inspire him. He returns home and sits down to work on the screenplay. Tunç, who becomes deeply engrossed in the screenplay he has written, will fall into a state of mental breakdown.

In this film that wavers unsteadily between a comedy and a tragedy, Murtaza (Mujdat Gezen) is a deluded security guard whose fanatical reverence for "duty" verges on the psychotic. He is incapable of seeing himself for what he is -- and as a consequence he is often the unwitting and unknowing brunt of jokes. His wife and daughters are painfully aware of his shortcomings, but they generally suffer in silence. One of the daughters ends up working in the factory to help the family out financially, and when Murtaza finds her sleeping on the job one night he hits her so hard she eventually dies from the blow. Though that is not the end of it, by any means.
