Two French environmental activists are kidnapped by Tuareg rebels in Niger. The two were in the process of exposing the inhumane working conditions in uranium mining by France's nuclear power company. A disaster for Paris: politicians and the board of directors are arguing with the Nigerien state over uranium prices - and don't need a scandal. Diplomat Hugo is sent to negotiate with the kidnappers on site. Hélène, the head of the environmental organization, also flies in.
