A film crew from Germany, filming in a remote village in northeastern Turkey, interviews an elderly Kurdish woman. She performs an ancient ritual to keep alive the memory of the son she lost years ago. Lynette Dawson wants to set up a foundation in the name of her late husband. Her sons Patrick and Robin are to act as directors. Lynette hopes that her daughter-in-law Kim and daughter-in-law-to-be Marisa will also get involved in the business. But they have completely different plans.
