Uma marries Balu, an honest civil engineer. Uma thinks that he is rich and receives lot of bribes but turns out Balu is from the middle-class like her. Uma is a miser and dreams to become rich. After few years, they have two children. In the meantime, Priya, the daughter of Balu's boss Rajasekhar, falls in love with Balu and asks him to marry her unaware of Balu's marriage and his two children. Balu refuses to marry her as he was already married but she compels him. When Priya meets Uma, she offers her one crore rupees in exchange for marrying Balu. Uma immediately agrees and she starts forcing Balu for remarriage. Finally, Balu agrees with heavy heart as Uma threatens to commit suicide. Soon, Balu also starts falling in love with Priya. Uma slowly realizes her mistake and wants to get Balu back. The rest of the story is what happen to Balu, Uma and Priya.

Shanmuga Pandian is a kind-hearted person and respected estate owner, he lives with his father Selvanayagam and mother Lakshmi and sister Sumathi. Shanmuga Pandian and Divya fall in love with each other. At Sumathi's wedding, Selvanayagam is falsely arrested for suppliyng weapons to terrorists. Thereafter, Sumathi's wedding is immediately stopped, Lakshmi becomes paralyzed and Divya refuses to marry him only because Shanmuga Pandian became poor. Nandhini hires Shanmuga Pandian in her company but her father considers Selvanayagam as his nemesis. Shanmuga Pandian and Nandhini fall in love with each other. The conspiracy against Selvanayagam was in fact planned by the corrupt politician P.K.R and his son Vasu. Later, Divya gets married with Vasu but the sadistic Vasu tortures Divya. The rest of the story is Shanmuga Pandian proves his father's innocence and revenge the villains with the help of Divya and Nandhini.

Chitrasen inadvertently humiliates Gabal Rishi, who approaches Bhagwan Shri Kishan and prays that the former be punished. Kishanji readily agrees to punish Chitrasen by beheading him with the Sudarshan Chakra. When no amount of pleas for mercy are adhered to, a compassionate Subhadra, moved by Chitrangini's plight, asks her spouse, Arjun, to intervene. The later, at first, refuses to take up arms against Kishanji, his friend, but subsequently relents - resulting in war - that will not only end their friendship - but may well also destroy the universe and annihilate Arjun, his brothers and their entire army.
