Magdalene has everything except one little thing: money. The script is based on the ancient legend of Eros, the god of love. He brought happy love when he hit the victim with gold-tipped arrows, or unhappy love if the arrow had a lead tip. Since love is the spice of life, Eros influenced that too. He himself paid the price for his abilities when he met Psyche.
