Inglourious Basterds (2009)

In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as "The Basterds" are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds, lead by Lt. Aldo Raine soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers.

Tarantino's Cameo: Quentin Tarantino appears as a dead Nazi soldier during the "Bear Jew" scene, getting scalped. He also makes a cameo as a soldier in Nation's Pride.
Adam Sandler as The Bear Jew?: Adam Sandler was Tarantino's first choice for Donny Donowitz, a.k.a. "The Bear Jew," but Sandler had to decline due to scheduling conflicts with Funny People. Eli Roth was then cast in the role.
Untraditional Title: The word "Inglourious" is intentionally misspelled in the title, and the word "Inglourious" is never actually spoken in the film. Tarantino has declined to explain his spelling choice.
Multilingual Cast: Only about 30% of the film is spoken in English. The rest is primarily German and French, with a little Italian. Christoph Waltz, Michael Fassbender, and Diane Kruger are all native German speakers, which added authenticity to the film.
Victim's Viewpoint: The final shot of the movie, looking up at Raine and Utivich as Landa has a swastika carved into his forehead, is a signature of Tarantino's style. This "Victim's Viewpoint" can also be seen in Reservoir Dogs and Jackie Brown.
