House Party! (1983)

The story of a 16-year-old Black youth who sneaks out of his house and attends a party, against his parents' wishes. This was Hudlin's thesis film during his time as a college student at Harvard University. The film won first prize in the fourth annual Black Independent Video and Film-maker’s Awards sponsored by the Black American Cinema Society, the film archives of the Western States Black Research Center.
