Himmelsheim (1989)

Himmelsheim, a small village in Upper Franconia, is torn from its "heavenly peace": Excavators and trucks roar through the narrow streets. The German Federal Railways are preparing to build a tunnel for a high-speed road in the immediate vicinity. Where yesterday the cherry trees of the farmer Münzel were still standing, now the construction crews and demolition crews are about to tear the Franconian mountain world off its hinges. It goes without saying that the locals don't put up with this without further ado! Boundary stones are secretly moved at night and that's just the beginning...
