An old couple lived in a small house. Since they had no children, they made a girl out of chalk and named her Vápenička. She was beautiful, all white, but she couldn't speak. In that country lived a prince who took a liking to Vápenička and wanted to marry her. However, as is often the case, the king did not approve of the bride.
