The Big O (1987)

A hungarian filmmaker is investigating: he wants to know what Orson Welles left behind in Hollywood, between truth and falsehood. Janine Bazin and André S. Labarthe long hoped being able to dedicate an issue of their longstanding documentary series, "Cinéastes de notre temps" to Orson Welles. But the master director-actor died in 1985, and Labarthe was left with a considerable challenge: making a film about Welles, without Welles.
