Journey to the West (2015)

"Journey to the West" is a black humorous online drama produced by Super Virus Studio, Tencent Video V+ Original, and Qingshan Jushi Studio. It emphasizes that youth should be active, and has the courage to forge ahead. 70% of the characters in "Journey to the West" are based on the classic "Journey to the West", including Monkey King, Tang Seng, Bull Demon King, White Bone Spirit, Lion Camel King, Golden Horn King, and Silver Horn King. While paying tribute to the classics, it also subverts the characters and plot through a series of post-modern techniques such as funny, ghostly, irony, and deconstruction.
